Last week, Property Passbook was featured in an article by CBC News reporting on foreign buyers of real estate in Montreal. CBC News noted that Montreal is currently the 10th most researched location on Property Passbook. When interviewed, Property Passbook’s CEO Colin Bogar affirmed that the growing interest in Montreal, particularly from Chinese buyers, is due to the city’s underlying qualities, such as its universities, its economy and its transit system, among other factors. This interest began even before the 15 per cent tax was introduced in Vancouver and Toronto to curb real estate speculation in those cities.
